From the very beginning!

Hello Everyone 🌸

Sitting in a cafe in CP, sipping my latte, after clicking this amazing picture, I finally decided to put another post.

I thought it will be better if I start my blogs by telling about myself. So I am starting from the very beginning.

I was born in the year when internet was launched for Public. Yes, I belong to the ‘Z generation‘, the generation born in the year 1995. I was born in my hometown in Rajasthan named as Sri Dungargarh. One interesting thing about my birth is that I was born in the same room in my nanihouse(yes! I was not born in hospital) in which my Mom was born.

At first, let me tell you, I have a very good memory. I remember my childhood in snapshots. And I do reminisce about memories from my babyhood days.

My Nanihouse and Dadihouse are in same place. Rather they are just 15 minutes walking distance from each other. It sounds fun right? It really is. Though their are both pros and cons to this situation but I believe pros are high(though my sister and mother think opposite). Cons being we have to divide our time for both places when we visit them. No matter how much time I spend in my dadihouse, they always think I spend more time in nanihouse and vice versa.

I have joint families at both sides. I am writing this because my family have always been my priority. I can proudly say that I am a family- oriented person. Maybe being the eldest grandchild I had always felt that I have more responsibility towards them as compared to my siblings. And also because I have an amazing family.
Whenever I have to introduce myself to someone new, I have to tell a long story.  Because I have different traits from all the places I’ve lived. And people get perplexed about my roots. I have changed 5 schools. Lived in 5 cities. Changed some 9 to 10 hostels.  And I don’t blame anyone for judging me on the way I look or talk. But I am a proper Marwari who speaks in marwari (my mother tongue) with her family. The way I talk(in general) is my trait from Lucknow,UP. And I am very proud of it as it has ‘tameez‘ and ‘tehjeeb‘ (as people call it) and I love that city. People often assume that I am from South India(I don’t know why? They say my facial features resembles that of south indian women) but no I am not.

I was born and brought up in Rajasthan, as I mentioned above. We have our business both in Rajasthan and Nepal. My uncle runs the business in Rajasthan and my father looks after the business in Nepal. I shifted to Nepal when I was 10 years old. And then I was send to a boarding school in Ranikhet when I was 15. And forever since I’ve been living in hostels and pg’s. I stayed in Lucknow for 3 years and now I’ve been living in Delhi from the last 3 years.

I will mention about my journey at these places in separate blogs. Because I have so many memories of all these places.

So stay tuned!

Love,

Priya
